FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp., 233. Publisher's black cloth with gilt titles to spine, in an unclipped, pictorial dust-jacket. Beautifully illustrated by Bill Sanderson. With an original pen and ink illustration by Bill Sanderson dated "23rd May 2013" to half-title, duplicating the roundel illustration to the dust-jacket. A fine copy. "The Fall of Arthur" is a posthumously published poem on the legend of King Arthur. Tolkien began work on the poem in the early 1930s, but abandoned work around 1934 in favour of "The Hobbit".
