First edition. 8vo. 253, (1) pp. Publisher's magenta cloth, white lettered to spine and upper board, neat contemporary pencilled gift inscription to first free endpaper, a two line inscription to the free endpaper also, dust jacket, not price clipped. 13 wood engraved illustrations. Contemporary (1938) ownership inscription on front free endpaper.
