He develops a new model for processing all of a company's business information. This model is called the corporation image factory. He then examines how each of the major types of database technologies - data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores - can be used to meet corporate image needs. He aims to show how these databases work with different types of information systems - from legacy applications to the latest Web applications.
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: W. H. INMON is Chief Technology Officer at Pine Cone Systems, a company that builds software for the management of the data warehouse environment. He has written more than 30 books and contributes regularly to professional journals.
CLAUDIA IMHOFF is the founder and CEO of Intelligent Solutions, Inc., a company that assists corporations in evolving corporate information factories. She coauthored the book, Building the Operational Data Store (Wiley).
RYAN SOUSA is Chief Technology Officer of Intelligent Solutions and is one of the first people to successfully implement a corporate information factory.
