Early edition. 116pp. Folio [32 cm] Rebacked with matching green cloth. 1/4 green cloth with green paper covered boards, a gilt stamped title on the spine, and a paper title label mounted to the front cover. Very good. The underlying boards are exposed along the edges. There is a contemporary owner's brief notation on the front free endsheet. The text block is cracked at the half title page, and the inside margin has been professionally reinforced.Extra charges apply on this item due to weight. Cornwell's art appeared often in popular magazines and important books written by a a variety of well-known authors, including Pearl S. Buck, Lloyd Douglas, Edna Ferber, Ernest Hemingway, W. Somerset Maugham, and Owen Wister. This left-handed illustrator painted over twenty murals for numerous public institutions and in the process became one of the nation's most famous muralists.
