First edition. Octavo. 94pp. With "A Footnote to these Prefaces" by Sinclair Lewis. Wrappers. Faint tidemark on bottom corner not affecting text, spine lightly toned, very good. Prefaces by noted authors to 10 books published by the Limited Editions Club, including G.K. Chesterton (*Vanity Fair*), Andre Maurois (*Madame Bovary*), Bernard DeVoto (*Tom Sawyer*), and Christopher Morley (*The Life of Tristam Shandy, Gent.*). Likely an advertising piece; each preface ends with a complimentary description of the Limited Editions Club book it was pulled from, and the final leaf is an application form.
