St Marys Books is proud to present this 1909 first edition of Aerial Warfare by R P Hearne Bound in navy cloth with gold gilt lettering and an intricate illustration of a blimp searching over a marina this hardback book contains ixxxix and 237 pages of text with 2 pages of advertisements to the back of the book Peppered with black and white photographs this pioneering nonfiction aeronautics book aimed at the general public rather than a technical audience accurately predicted the use of airplanes and airships in combat This copy is in fair condition there is some significant bumping and staining to the boards the spine is weak there are Arthur Philip du Cros and Hugh Oswald Short ex libis bookplates on the front free endpaper there is foxing throughout and several illustrations are missing and have been replaced with facimilies such as the frontispiece and 5 other plates similarly pages 7784 are missing and have been replaced with copies Aerial Warfare is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aviation enthusiastnbsp.
