La neurociencia del lenguaje / The Neuroscience of Language
ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
A fascinating look at the way bilingualism works in the human brain and how it acquires and processes language.
We are all interested in language and we have asked ourselves how the human brain acquires it and processes it. But how can two languages coexist in the same brain and what implications does this coexistence entail?
To understand the way language works, bilingualism is fundamental. How do babies exposed to two languages differentiate them? Are the learning paths different between bilingual and monolingual babies? How do the two languages deteriorate after brain damage? In this fascinating book, Albert Costa sheds light on these and many other questions while he inspires the reader’s curiosity about one of the most fascinating aspects of cognitive science: language.
