This is not a grammar, nor a bible, nor a collection of arbitrary benoni rules - it is a systematization of the polychromatic ideas inside the Modern Benoni Complex - bringing things so far as 1.11.1972 + various games from the period 1.11.72-1.2.73. This survey is intended to represent a synthesis of the material contained in the bibliography, p.4o2. It is also an attempt to group a "family" of variations according to the conception of the local majorities as the commanding power in connection with a static construction of the center -as worked out by H.Kmoch in "Pawn Power in Chess" (9).
