English words for the signs, sometimes called Glosses, are the eight hundred and fifty words in the C. K. Ogden Basic English Word list. These words, extracted from everyday speech by Linguists, are said to be able to do the work of 20,000 English words, when every meaning of each word, or gloss, is considered. Beginning ASL study by learning these signs, most of which are citation signs, can enable a new student to become fluent quickly.Every sign in this dictionary has been examined by at least one member of the Deaf community, and certified to be current, meaningful, clear, and used in the Deaf community. The included signs convey one meaning of the Ogden words clearly, sometimes more than one meaning. Conveying the full power of 20,000 concepts in ASL requires the larger dictionary I'm preparing. I hope to publish the larger dictionary sometime before the year 2012.…

It covers life in Winchester, Virginia, from the mid-1700s until the end of the American Revolution. It displays quaint Virginia customs, beliefs, medical treatments, hex and witchcraft practices, as well as housekeeping and clothing traditions. Unique, long-forgotten mores yield fascinating details of life in the colonies before and during the American Revolution. This tale recounts early Virginia history and the Battle of Quebec in 1775 (Benedict Arnold's ill-fated attempt to take Quebec as the 14th American colony) where Peter Lauck served under the command of Captain Daniel Morgan. Morgan trained and took 96 riflemen from Winchester into the battle at Quebec. Peter, his brother, Simon, and four close friends from Winchester formed the historic 'Dutch Mess.' The book also traces some events in the military role of George Washington's second cousin, William Washington. The book describes the origin of Peter Lauck's Red Lion Inn (where George Washington stopped) and Lauck's mansion, Edgehill, in Winchester. A close reading will clearly show that most of the problems that slow down the process of education are generated not only by the uneven distribution of the financial resources, and the enormous numbers of school districts, but mainly by the lack of a proper leadership and realistic goals on the part of the administrators in charge of it. Their selection is not very accurate, and the result is that many of them are not competent enough to handle this very sensitive position. Also some of them give in to the different pressures from the public at large in order to protect their jobs and the relative large salaries. Missile guidance systems have ranged from the V-1's dead reckoning through simple, but jammable radio-controlled, to exceedingly complex self-contained inertial guidance systems discussed at length. The reader may be surprised to learn that a 'smart-bomb' flew in 1917, with several different models used in anger in WW2. The Minuteman III leg of the present Triad is described in detail along with a somewhat bizarre set of proposed basing plans for the Peacekeeper Missile that were precursors of the recently proposed 'Subway' basing plan for MMIII. Missile legacy includes a sub-section, necessarily less complete, describing Soviet/Russian missilery through 2000, noting that the early Soviet ballistic missile development was based almost entirely on the German V-2.…
