John Graham (1776-1844), historian and anti-Catholic propagandist. Amongst his other works was Annals of Ireland (1819). This book, complete in itself, was also issued as the second part…in a volume titled Derriana (same printer and year). The text consists of poems about the siege of Londonderry in 1688-9, but they end on p. 18 and the rest of the volume consists of extensive historical notes. Graham's poetry is said to have been admired by Scott, and he was acquainted with Maria Edgeworth. O'Donoghue, p. 167; Jackson, p. 492; not in Johnson. Copac locates just one copy (Cambridge UL) of the book in this format, though others of the more substantial version with the title Derriana.
