Boards and cloth spine, gilt title on front board. Small oblong 8vo. Well designed photo book showing the projects of this company. Photos printed in gray tones with the company logo in color on each plate. Book is divided into sections according to the head of the projects into Lower Head Plants (below 100 feet), Medium Head Plants (100 to 500 feet), and High Head Plants (over 500 feet). In the latter category are the Puyallup plant of the Puget Sound Corporation and Big Creek of the Pacific Light and Power Corporation. The latter has an enormous fall of more than 2000 feet. Other projects were carried out in New Hampshire, Georgia, Minnesota, and the Pacific Northwest. Technical specifications for the plants are given on left-hand pages. Stunning photography. Photo captions in a non-nonsense sans-serif face. Rare. No copies in WorldCat. The Barta Press produced other photo-illustrated books around the turn of the century. Date of this book is determinable from the status of the projects.
