[Children's Illustrated] Simplified for younger readers. Three volumes comprising FIRST THUS, first reprint, and Ward Lock reissue. Octavo (21 x 15cm), pp.64. With illustrations throughout. Publisher's colour-illustrated soft covers. No ink names, light handling. Very good (the reissue is fine). An adaptation of Ian Fleming's classic children's tale, designed for readers aged 6-9+, issued in the 'Take Part' series. Written in the form of a play. Due to its nature, very many of these school text books were library stamped, etc., and it was reprinted many times. Clean privately owned firsts are genuinely scarce. From the collection of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within). Supplied with a complimentary copy of Gilbert's monograph 'Genesis of GEN11. The Writing of Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang' (2026).
