Soft cover. Zustand: Good. Card 85x140mm, (4)pp. with b/w drawing to the front panel featuring a golfer in a vast desert bunker, a Bedouin camel rider caddy, and hole in the far distance. This opens to reveal the Score Card with rows for 18 holes, giving their yards, par, and handicaps (at this time the course totaled 5544 yards with pars of W81 / M71). The back indicates USGA compliance and lists the Local Rules. This is undated, but possibly 1972 (with relocation of the course facilities), or later. Aramco founded Saudi Arabia's first golf course, the Rolling Hills Country Club, to the south of Hobby Farm in 1949, to appeal to the recreational tastes of its rapidly growing expat workforce. Made from compacted oil and sand, it hosted tournaments with Aramco's other main camps at Abqaiq, Udhailiyah and Ras Tanura. Each developed its own course, and with the construction of Tapline in the 1950s, new ones sprang up at the main pumping stations. Work started to convert Rolling Hills CC to grass in 2001, and in 2005 it was renamed to the Rolling Hills Golf Club. Good, unused, creased and tanned, with faint red ink lines across the Score Card.
