He suppos…ed the electric charge redistribution in a celestial body under the action of inhomogeneous mechanical stresses (reaction against gravity) and the magnetic field moment resulted from the axial rotation of the charged body. In this book the effect is estimated quantitatively from the quantum theory point of view among others. To describe the magnetic field, generatd because of the axial roation of electrically charged object, electrodynamics of slowly rotating obsever is developed. Presented are the estimates of planetary electric and magnetic fields created due to both its internal self-gravitation and external tidal influences. The contribution of the effect into the main geomagnetic field is estimated as approximately 10%. Teh contribution into the magnetic moments of giant planets is larger. La estrecha unión de estas dos ramas de investigación, a primera vista tan distintas, se ha manifestado espe…cialmente en los dos últimos decenios. A lo largo de varios siglos la astronomía utilizó los resultados de los experimentos físicos realizados en los laboratorios terrestres. Esta tradición comenzó con el establecimiento de las leyes de la mecánica. La ley de gravitación, así como el valor de la velocidad de la luz, fue descubierta por astrónomos. No obstante, sólo el experimento terrestre de Cavendish permitió determinar el valor absoluto de la constante gravitatoria y, a partir del mismo, la masa de los cuerpos celestes. El análisis espectral creado en los laboratorios, permitió determinar la composición de las estrellas lejanas. Al mismo tiempo, se desarrollaba también el proceso inverso de enriquecimiento de la física y de la química; precisamente en el espectro del Sol fueron descubiertas las líneas espectrales del helio (Helios es el dios griego del Sol), el cual, más tarde, fue descubierto en la Tierra y desempeñó un importante papel en el descubrimiento de la naturaleza de la radioactividad. En nuestro siglo, ramas de la física "terrestre" y "de laboratorio" como el electromagnetismo y la física del plasma influyeron decisivamente en la radioastronomía y en la física del gas interestelar. Ejemplos de esta clase se podrían citar hasta el infinito; nosotros, no obstante, nos limitaremos sólo a uno más, el último en esta serie, pero no el último por su importancia. Se trata de la teoría del universo caliente y, ante todo, de la nucleosíntesis en "los primeros tres minutos". Aquí, con fines astronómicos, se utilizan datos de laboratorio fidedignos referentes a las reacciones nucleares entre núcleos ligeros con una energía de colisión comprendida entre las decenas de miles y los millones de electronvoltios. A gran escala, éste ha sido el servicio más reciente que la física ha prestado a la cosmología. Situémosnos ahora en los años 60 y 70 de nuestro siglo. Los físicos experimentales aumentan la energía de los aceleradores, aproximándose paulatinamente al TeV (es decir, 1012eV=1000 mpc2, donde mp es la masa del protón). Para finales de siglo se ha planificado la construcción de un acelerador de 3 TeV. Las ideas de los físicos teóricos no sólo están limitadas por razones de tipo financiero. Aparecen teorías en las cuales figuran partículas con una masa de 1015-1017 GeV (es decir, 1015-1017 veces más pesadas que el protón). Ya en el año 1899, al introducir en la física la constante que llevaría su nombre, Max Planck observó que de este modo aparecía una unidad natural de masa y una unidad natural de energía. La denominada unidad de masa de Planck es 1019 (!) veces mayor que la masa del protón. Los físicos teóricos operan, precisamente, con valores de masas y energías de dicho orden, o sea, con valores de las mismas tales que abrigar cualquier tipo de esperanza respecto a la investigación experimental directa de las mismas es completamente inútil. Precisamente aquí, a caballo entre la física y la astrofísica, a fines del siglo XX surge una nueva corriente en la ciencia. La idea consiste en la utilización de los datos astrofísicos para obtener informaciones sobre la física "exótica". El objetivo del prólogo no consiste en relatar el contenido del presente libro. La intención del mismo es describir el contexto histórico-científico en el que apareció la rama de investigación objeto de esta obra. En este libro, dedicado a los problemas que se hallan en el centro de atención de la física moderna, es natural que se exponga una gran abundancia de hipótesis y de posibles variantes. La extracción de información acerca de las partículas elementales a partir de datos astronómicos es un problema muy difícil: frecuentemente los resultados son ambiguos. Se podría decir que la relación entre esta actividad y la física es semejante a la que existe entre la paleontología y la biología. Tenemos que contentarnos con un conjunto escaso de datos que no siempre son seguros. Pueden destacarse tres logros indiscutibles del estudio de la física con ayuda de la astronomía. Precisamente la astronomía, y sólo la astronomía, proporciona hoy día la demostración irrebatible de la no conservación de los bariones. La astronomía demuestra que la densidad de energía del vacío es exactamente igual a cero o en todo caso muy pequeña: en la teoría cuántica esta afirmación se halla muy lejos de ser trivial. Por último, la astronomía indica la existencia de un campo escalar con presión negativa. Leschenko has offered a completely new approach to structural mechanics, which allowed for a unique technique for structural engineering to be developed. This new method is based on the following three discoveries made by the author: --- Phenomenon of separati…ng torsional strains of elastic bars; --- Specific law of analogy in stability and oscillation of elastic systems; --- Principle of force factors pairing in structural mechanics. All actual approaches and theories of structural mechanics widely employ such an abstract concept as generalized force, neglecting, however, a definite and practical concept of external force factor. In author's opinion, this breaks the interrelations between the external and internal forces acting on structures and the strains occurring in the structures, which leads to an implicit violation of the classical mechanics laws, namely the law of energy conservation, the Lagrange principle, and Newton's laws. It should be stressed that Leschenko does not suggest that one concept should be simply replaced by the other, but interrelates the external action with other forces and factors concurrently acting on the structure. Thus, the author has proposed to consider any elastic system as based on three permanently acting factors: 1) external forces; 2) internal forces; and 3) elastic strains; and indicated the principles linking the effects of these factors. Leschenko has developed a graphical scheme (the so-called triad) for an analysis of elastic systems. The triad analysis of elastic systems has enabled to reveal great contradictions in the available structural calculations of plates, shells and bars. On the other hand, the new method has allowed for an adequate model of stress-and-strain state of constructions to be developed, which, for the first time ever, has made it possible to predict with a high accuracy the moment of structural failure. As main advantages of the new method we can list comparatively quick calculations of all types of structures, the examination and verification of design solutions, and`the detection of critical loads and weak points of constructions.
