Paperback. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. Urbana, Krannert Art Museum, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and University of Illinois Press, 1991. Quarto, 118 pages with numerous illustrations (many full-page). Pictorial card covers a little creased and rubbed; an excellent copy. A catalogue of an exhibition of Fehl's 'capricci', with an introductory essay by Maurice E. Cope. This is a presentation copy, with the front free endpaper inscribed and signed 'For Father Leonard Boyle, O.P. | with gratitude and affection. | Philipp Fehl | Oct. 1991', incorporated into a full-page (albeit spare) ink drawing. Leonard Eugene Boyle OP OC was Prefect of the Vatican Library at the time (1984-1997). Fehl presumably knew him through his leadership of the Leopoldo Cicognara Program, a collaboration between the Vatican Library and the University of Illinois Library.
