VG.Provenance: Herb Yellin (1935-2014) was the highly respected publisher and founder of Lord John Press, considered by many to be one of the most important small presses of the 20th century. His close personal relationships with many significant writers resulted in an impressive number of unique, collectible, signed limited edition books. Working with some of modern literature's biggest names?Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, John Updike, Eudora Welty, and Joyce Carol Oates among them?and entertaining his personal fascination with Hollywood, Yellin was able to create a new realm for Lord John Press combining the two fields; several books, including The Lord John Film Festival, were the result.

A clean near fine copy in wrappers that feature Johanna Drucker's drawing "Speedboat This Morning." Signed and warmly inscribed by Fraser to Clayton Eshleman and his wife Carly in 1983. Evidently it was not given to Eshleman until 1994 when Fraser found it when she was moving. She has included a short, 78 word handwritten note presenting this book and talking about her moving and Eshleman's work. A nice association copy.

Binding is strong and tight, traces of rust to the staples. Pages are clean and bright and unmarked.
