Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. Reprint. Octavo. Owner's penned name and dated "11/10/42" now faded (possibly from water) on the front fly, spine ends and corners lightly rubbed and bumped, faint dampstain on bottom edge of front cloth board, still a very good copy with a piece of paper containing the author's autograph and glued to the front pastedown, in a good only edgeworn and chipped dustwrapper, number penned on rear panel, spine sunned. Signed by the author on blank paper and mounted onto the front pastedown. Basis for the 1934 film starring Bette Davis and earned her her first major critical acclaim.
