An uncommon 3 volume set of works devoted to the recollection of Croydon's aviation and wartime history.Croydon Airport operated as the primary international airport of the United Kingdom throughout the interwar period.Published in the latter half of the 20th Century, these three first editions were composed by a team of three writers, and published as seen here, in their charming individual, brightly coloured paperback bindings.Each volume is profusely illustrated, and, amongst many frequent vignette and full page illustrations, volume 1 features 4 double sided monochrome plates, volume two, a monochrome frontispiece and 2 single sided plates, and volume three features 27 double sided plates.Volume one is additional decorated with maps printed to the endpapers.No other collation record available.
