The main IMD goal is to reveal the information regularities, mathematically expressed by the considered variation principle (VP), as a mathematical tool to extractthe regularities and define the model, whichdescribes theregularities. The IMD regularities and mechanisms are the results of the analytical solutions and are not retained by logical argumentation, rational introduction, and a reasonable discussion. The IMD's information computer modeling formalism includes a human being (as an observer, carrier and producer ofinformation), witha restoration of the model during the objectobservations.

The main goal of computer graphics is to gener ate and animate realistic looking images, and videos. Researchers in computer graphics are increasingly employing techniques from computer vision to gener ate the synthetic imagery. A good example of this is image-based rendering and modeling techniques, in which geometry, appearance, and lighting is de rived from real images using computer vision techniques. Here the shift is from synthesis to analysis followed by synthesis.

The volume is based on papers presented at the conference on Cross-Media Service Delivery-CMSD-2003 that took place in Santorini, Greece in May 2003. Ein großer Teil der Kinder mit Leukämien und Lymphomen kann heute geheilt werden. Leukämien und L…ymphome treten überwiegend sporadisch auf. Bei einigen erblichen Erkrankungen, insbesondere bei Chromosomenbruch- und Immundefizienz-Syndromen, ist das Risiko für die Entwicklung von Leukämien und Lymphomen deutlich erhöht. Nach der Identifizierung der Krankheitsgene hat sich herausgestellt, daß sie auch in der Entwicklung sporadischer Leukämien und Lymphome eine Rolle spielen. Daher ist diesen erblichen Erkrankungen ein gesonderter Abschnitt gewidmet. Mit Hilfe molekularbiologischer und zytogenetischer Methoden ist es gelungen, grundlegende Mechanismen bei der malignen Transformation und Progression myeloischer und lymphatischer Zellen immer besser zu verstehen und eine große Zahl charakteristischer genetischer Veränderungen zu identifizieren. Die für das Verständnis der Biologie hämatologischer Neoplasien wichtigen Grundlagen sind in einem weiteren Abschnitt dargestellt. In zwei Abschnitten über sporadische Leukämien und Lymphome wird ein Überblick über den aktuellen Erkenntnisstand gegeben. Die eigentliche Zielgruppe sind Physiotherapeuten. Daher wird auch auf Anamnese und Diagnose eingegangen, damit eine zielgerichtete Therapie erfolgen kann. Am Ende jedes Theorie-Abschnitts gibt es lehrbuchtypisch eine kurze Zusammenfassung und Fragen zur Selbstkontrolle. Im Theorie-Teil wird der Leser kurz in die lange Geschichte der Massage eingeführt. Dies ist zwar nicht wichtig für die Anwendung, aber dennoch interessant zu wissen. Als nächstes folgen Kapitel über die theoretischen Grundlagen zur Massage. Hier erklärt der Autor wie Haut, Muskeln und Sehnen aufgebaut sind. Im Kapitel 'Wirkprinzipien' erläutert er, wie und warum Massage funktioniert. Dabei wird unter anderem auf biochemische und psychogene Effekte eingegangen. Der Leser erfährt, bei welchen Problemen Massagen helfen können und bei welchen Erkrankungen keine Massagen durchgeführt werden sollen. Den Hauptteil des Buches bildet der Praxisteil. Hier finden sich Hinweise für eine möglichst ergonomische Behandlungsdurchführung und auf nötige sowie sinnvolle Hilfsmittel. Kolster geht auf verschiedene Massagetechniken ein, darunter Knetungen, Streichungen und Thermotherapie. Er gibt zudem wertvolle Hinweise, wie mit Problemen wie Körperbehaarung oder Hauterkrankungen umgegangen werden kann. Außerdem verweist er auf die Erfordernisse für eine möglichst gute Diagnose. Wichtig sind dabei unter anderem eine genaue Untersuchung und die Berücksichtigung von Fehlhaltungen. Danach geht Kolster ausführlich auf die Massage der verschiedenen Körperregionen, wie beispielsweise Rücken oder Beine, ein. Er erklärt sehr anschaulich wie die Voruntersuchung und dann die eigentliche Massage durchzuführen sind. Dabei werden sowohl die klassische Massage, als auch Querfriktionen und Funktionsmassagen behandelt. Die Durchführung wird auf zahlreichen Bildern demonstriert, die zudem durch erläuternde Texte ergänzt werden. Der Theorie-Teil richtet sich vorwiegend an (angehende) Physiotherapeuten und medizinisch Interessierte. Wer sich von verschiedenen medizinischen Fachausdrücken nicht abschrecken lässt, erfährt einiges über Anatomie beziehungsweise Physiologie des Menschen und die Funktionsweise von Massagen. Der Theorie-Teil muss jedoch nicht zwingend gelesen werden. Der Praxis-Teil zeigt in guten, erläuterten Bildern wie die Massagetechniken an verschiedenen Körperteilen durchzuführen sind. Sicher macht auch beim Massieren Übung den Meister, aber zum Üben benötigt man erst mal das nötige Know-how. Kolster vermittelt dieses und warnt gleichzeitig vor häufigen Fehlern. Für mich das Einsteiger und Lehrbuch für alle die Massagen erlernen möchten. Vor allem auch für die Personen die auf dem Wellnesssektor arbeiten wollen ein unverzichtbares Nachschlagewerk. Grundwissen über Körperhaltung, Massageliegenhöhe werden genauso angesprochen wie viele Massagegriffe. Leicht und schnell erlernbar. In meinen Einsteigerseminaren das Buch das ich zu Anatomiebüchern immer gerne weiterempfehle und die Bausteine sind worauf ich aufbaue. Ich habe mir das Buch "Massage" von Bernard Kolster gekauft, weil ich mir als Laie, der ab und an Massagen anwendet, Hintergrund- und methodisches Wissen dafür aneignen möchte. Kolsters Werk bietet dafür die richtigen Voraussetzungenvon der Erklärung, wie Muskeln funktionieren über die richtige Bearbeitung der Muskeln bei der Massage ist alles darin, was ich wissen wollte - besonders schön sind die Schaubilder zum Verlauf der Muskeln in den verschiedenen Körperregionen. Das einzige Manko des Buches liegt für mich darin, dass ich viele Anleitungen - ausgerechnet im praktischen Teil - nicht auf Anhieb verstehe. Denn die Beschreibung, wie die Hände den Muskel bearbeiten müssen, sind leider im medizinischen Fachwortschatz geschrieben. Allerdings ist das Problem mit Nachschlagen in Wikipedia ganz gut lösbar.
