Sewn booklet in gold wrappers printed in black and with the logo of Saint Heironymous Press in black on the front cover and in maroon on the rear cover. Over these stiff wrappers is a dust jacket with letters in blue and black on the front panel and the spine and a geometric design in blue, orange and brown on the front panel and with a large black and white photo of James Monday Larry Kunkel on the rear panel. Not noticeable wear to extremities of the booklet, corners square and flat, no internal markings. Dust jacket spine ever so slightly darkened, else fine with no markings. James Monday was a Berkeley pet who was a friend of Alice Waters of Chez Panisse. On the copyright page is the following note: "With thanks to all at Chez Panisse & Saint Heironymous Berkeley California. The title of this volume is explained in the front matter as follows: "The corresponding four-dimensional object, all of whose sides have length a, is called a 'Tesseract' and it has an interior capacity of a/4." James Monday was an architect who, among other projects, designed Alice Waters Residence, Berkeley. He was obviously a close friend of Alice Waters for he says of his two sons, " NiCO & OLiVER, my two fine sons, have grown up in the food and wine world of the SF Bay Area, partaking of the many pleasures of eating at the table of Alice Waters since they were infants. A simple twist of fate led me to Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley in 1971, the year it opened, where i met Alice and their mother, Sharon." [from his web site]. Signed by Author(s).
