Apart from some very slight foxing to the edges of the leaves, this is in near mint condition throughout. Inscribed on the front free endpaper "Darling, to lighten your slumbers… from J. 12.8.1990." A superb copy of Lees-Milne's third novel set in a country house during WWI and which tells the story of a schoolboy (Rupert Fiennes-Templeton) for love and affection.
