The sisters donated Constitution Island to West Point in 1908, and taught Bible classes to West Point cadets for forty years. 8vo, 410pp, Original brown gilt stamped cloth boards with blind stamped publishers crest, Publishers advertisements at end papers with first volume advertising Queechy and the 16th edition of Wide Wide World. Both volumes have the pencil signature of thir original owner Mrs Stephen Sanford, August 1852.
