Hardcover copy with white cloth (jute or linen? ) spine over green paper covered boards. The covers are a bit worn and scuffed and the title and illustration on the front cover are faded. The pages have deckled top and fo…re edges and a few of the pages appear to have some slight smudging, perhaps done by the binders. Still, a very attractive copy. ; Unpaginated - 38 pages. According to the colophon, this hardcover edition is limited to 50 copies on handmade jute paper pulled by Peter Sowiski. The pages have deckled fore and top edges and trimmed botton edges. The end pages are made from thin yellow paper and the text pages of heavy stock paper. The photographs were printed at Purple Mountain Press by Wray and Loni Rominger. They are printed on white paper (not photographic paper_) and tipped-in, generally glued on the top or left-side edge. On a few of the photos with light colored backgrounds you can discern the glued border. The introduction was set in linotype by Bishop Printing. Other handsetting, printing and binding was done by artisans at Swamp Press. The covers consist of white jute (or linen? ) covered spine over green paper covered boards. The title "Jordanville" and a woodblock design are printed on the front cover. The text consists of an introduction by Borislav Svrakov about the Russian Orthodox monastery at Jordanville in Herkimer County in the Mohawk Valley in New York State, black and white photos of the monks and a collection of poetry written by Jo Mish. At the end of the book is a brief biography of Boris Svrakov. A beautiful volume. ; Black and white tipped-in photos; 4to 12 1/2" x 10 1/4"; Unpaginated pages.
