Quoting from the flap of the dust jacket: Yea, a full fair share had I, Of living and of loveA romantic realist her head in the clouds and her feet on the ground the poet depicts a mosaic of memories in various verse forms. I am pleased to offer a very nice copy of a small book of poems, titled: A Fair Share, by Betsy H. Stolzar (who later signed her work, Betsy H. Long). This small hard cover book (5 ½ x 8 inches, 57 pages) was published by the Naylor Company of San Antonio, Texas, dated 1970. It is bound in red cloth with an off-white geometric design on the front cover and titles on the spine; it is protected by a printed paper dust jacket. The book is flat signed on the front endpaper and then inscribed again with a short note, on the same endpaper page. Laid-in is a envelop with a small card signed by the Poet herself, conveying a gift poem for the addressee, apparently someone who was her primary care physician and friend. There are two other poems by the Author (I am supposing), typed on small pieces of paper, laid-in. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some slight edge wear to the dust jacket and some small brown stains along the lower right-hand quadrant of the front cover. The spine of the dust jacket is also a little darkened. The hard covers are neat and clean and unbumped. Inside, other than the Author s signature and inscription on the front endpaper, the book is unmarked and the pages clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. The laid-in note card and small slips of paper with the poems from the Author are clean, used but fully intact. Signed by Author.
