Zustand: Sehr gut. Zustand: Sehr gut | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | There are just some things and people that enter into a child's life that will resonate with them for years to come. A Grandmothers Love is certainly one of those things and is also one of a kind. In this book, the Author shares a fun-loving, charismatic depiction of a close bond between a young child and her Grandmother over the summer break. One thing I've learned is a Grandmother's love is one of a kind and the moments spent together will last a lifetime.

In den Warenkorb1st and only edition. Printed in black red and green, bound in morocco backed patterned boards, number 28 of 155 copies. Loosely inserted is letter addressed to Harry Newton regarding a reminiscence of Haberly which he had been due to publish, probably in his book "Your Books, My Son. Being some account Bibliographical & Biographical contained in forty letters written mainly during the earlier months of 1931, intended to introduce to his eldest son a small collection of Esteemed Books made for him." Oxford: at the University Press, 1934. Haberly urges him not to print it as although appreciative of "your charmingly written essay [which] is a sweeter memorial to friendship than to truth"."I am very shy of print." In an envelope illustrated with a representation of Newton's arms showing a dog making off with one of the crossed bones. Also inserted is a photograph of Haberly in front of a car and substantial house, marked Hamburg 1936. Haberly first learnt his skills at the Central School of Arts and Crafts whilst in England on a Rhodes Scholarship to study law at Oxford, he later briefly headed the Gregynog Press, although his tenure there was not a success. This proved to be Haberly's final book printed in this country, he returned to America shortly afterwards.
