Both Howe's Pythagorean Silence and Sobin's Celebration of the Sound Through were published as "Montemora Supplements" -- a series of seven books of poetry in identical format, associated with the magazine Montemora, edited by Eliot Weinberger, which ran for eight issues from 1975-1981. This publishing anomaly contains the complete text of Howe's book, mistakenly bound in the covers for the Sobin. Other than some very slight age-toning to the still-bright white wrappers, and a very faint spot on the first blank leaf, the book is essentially as new. Unique.…
