Born in Budapest, over a period of 40 years he provided the musical support for some of the greatest films. These include El Cid, The Thief of Bagdad, The Four Feathers, Ben-Hur, King of Kings etc.  He knew or encountered many well known people of the 20th century, including Bartok, Strauss, Dietrich and Heifetz. Written at the age of 75 when he was still active in Hollywood, a fascinating story. Extensive black and white photos, original dust jacket, some minor dust staining on page edges, otherwise very good condition.
