Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Top 15 Bestseller in Sci-Fi Action & Adventure on IngramIt is 2070, and the American dream has been replaced by containment zones, surveillance drones, and endless wildfire. Inside the Gypsum detention center, Alton Lucas lives a lie, concealing his mixed heritage from the white supremacists he is imprisoned with. His cover is blown not by the inmates, but by the state. Desperate to stop a new wave of insurrection, the government weaponizes Alton against the insurgency's leader: Alex Weber, now known as Hagen. Years ago, Alton, Alex, and Kiara were inseparable, bonded by a shared obsession with space travel. Now, they are on opposite sides of a civil war.To stop Alex, Alton must become something else entirely. Augmented with lethal technology and stripped of his agency, he is sent into the mountains to hunt the only family he has left. But as Alton peels back the layers of Alex's plan, he discovers that the target isn't the White House or the capital-it's the upcoming Mars Colony Launch.Afterburn is a visceral journey into a future where identity is a weapon and nostalgia is a trap. From the squalor of prison camps to the promise of the Red Planet, Alton Lucas must decide if he is willing to let the world burn to save his friends-or if he has the strength to let them go.Afterburn is a speculative fiction thriller in the vein of American War by Omar El Akkad or Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. The novel teems with cinematic visuals, breathless action, provocative themes, and poignant character moments.…

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - The Redline Conspiracy, the explosive new action thriller in the Jack Kane series, is a high-octane adrenaline rush of car chases, brutal mercenaries, courtroom showdowns, and raw revenge. From the first page to the last, this novel delivers cinematic action sequences, pulse-pounding suspense, and unforgettable high-speed escapes that rival the Fast & Furious franchise while adding the grit and realism of Lee Child, Vince Flynn, and Mark Greaney. When Jack Kane uncovers The Spine-a secret ledger that exposes billionaire kingpin Serrano's empire of corruption-his life becomes a burning fuse. To keep the evidence alive, Jack and his crew must risk everything: storming guarded compounds, stealing luxury cars at breakneck speed, dodging mercenaries with machine guns, and hijacking Serrano's own broadcast to turn his power against him.Every chapter pushes the pedal further down: a BMW M5 carving through city streets under gunfire, a Dodge Challenger rumbling with smoke and fury, armored SUVs flipping in fiery crashes, and drones feeding real-time intel as explosions tear through the night. This is not just action-it's cinematic mayhem, written in a way that puts you behind the wheel, the gun, and the fight. But it's more than cars and chaos. The Reckoning builds into a legal thriller where corruption meets its match. Ortiz, the relentless prosecutor, turns Jack's stolen evidence into an ironclad case. Anya, the hacker with steel nerves, mirrors the ledger across the globe so Serrano can't erase the truth. Lena and Mateo guard witnesses with their lives, and Lani's garage becomes a war room of souped-up machines and firepower. Together, they turn Serrano's empire of silence into a public reckoning. From high-speed freeway battles and warehouse raids to tense courtroom drama, the novel grips you with non-stop tension. Readers who crave adrenaline-fueled action novels packed with cars, explosions, and conspiracy will find this the ride of a lifetime. Perfect for fans of: Car chase thrillers like Gone in 60 Seconds, Baby Driver, and Drive.Action thrillers by Don Bentley, Brad Thor, and Gregg Hurwitz.Gritty, high-stakes series where the hero is relentless, flawed, and unstoppable.…

William Prynne was a lawyer, but is best known as a pamphleteer whose strenuously argued publications led him to repeated encounters with the English court system. A staunch Puritan, Prynne famously attacked theatres and theatre-going (as well as other forms of entertaiment), for which he was convicted of sedition for the first time in 1634.
