Original Red Cloth Hardback. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. First Edition. 1947. 62pp. This is an unusual collection of four short stories for children: The Six Wee Pigs; The Golden Hen; The Magic Cape; The Little Shadow Girl. There are 7 full-page black and white drawings and others within the text by "W.T.". In brick-red boards with green titling on the spine and two smalll drawings on the front board. The boards are in very good condition with slight bumping to the spine ends and rubbing to the corners. A small dent on the bottom edge of the font board has caused a tiny bit of damage to the cloth. The pages are clean but with a name and school award label on the front free endpaper. Dustjacket has shelf wear and some stains and soiling. Small pieces missing from the corners and about 1/2" missing from the spine ends. The edges have several tears and there is a small hole on the front of the wrapper. Most of the tears have been neatly repaired on the reverse with tape. It has not been priceclipped. The wrapper is in an easily removed clear plastic protective cover. Not Stated (illustrator).…
