Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - WINNER! 2025 Readers' Favorite International Book Awards - Honorable Mention - Children's audiobooks.Magic Moon is a cool, quirky, gigantic, somewhat terrifying, alien 'moon-like' being who likes puns and jokes when he's not accidentally causing small avalanches! He may grant two special requests with his magical powers if you are brave enough to face him, as one young girl is. A young girl journeys up the mountain to ask Magic Moon how to help her brother, who has been grieving for many days after his best friend moved away.'Shirley Moulton has an appealing voice that shines through in her characters. Children will find the sequel to Magic Moon: A Young Boy's Journey delightful, especially as you get more insight into his sister's character. The young girl in this story is fierce and sassy, making both Mr. Moon and young readers laugh. Mr. Moon is also a jolly character, and his wisdom can also be applied in real life. Magic Moon: Sister's Turn is highly recommended, as it covers navigating deep feelings, such as grief, care, and love. The audiobook is narrated well by Shilo Dennis, Gwen Dennis, Ewan Dennis, Linda Abdo and Preston Abdo, who enhance the characters' personalities immensely and give them each a unique voice. The sound quality is also very clear, allowing you to imagine the events that are transpiring in real time. The main character, the young girl, particularly stands out, as you can gauge her emotions from listening to the narrator.' -- Readers' Favorite, 2025.'Warm and cozy, wearing its lessons lightly.' - Kirkus Reviews'A fun story, sweetly illustrated and awash with words of wisdom.' - A Wishing Shelf Book Review (UK) 4/5 Stars Finalist in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards (UK) 2017 4/5 Stars'A very sweet story populated by a host of fun, even memorable, characters.
