(Do you have any idea how hard it is to synopsize a novel when you can't find any reviews, and the dust jacket is missing? I'd read the darn thing if I had time, but alas.) The author was a longtime educator, who taught in Japan, China, India and England; his most famous book was "The Sexual Impulse," published in England in 1935, which led to the prosecution of his publishers for obscenity.
