The only evidence of handwriting is on the second front end page where you can barely see where an old price was once penciled and then later erased, no other handwriting found. Exterior shows only minor spotting and soiling but the outside edge of the rear board has several areas where the cloth is chipped/damaged, exposing the backing underneath. The interior binding is good at the boards there is some pulling/thin hinge cracking at several locations of the text pages. Also, the title page is lifting from the hinge about 2 inches at the top. Pages are toned due to age and the pages around the title page and frontispiece show quite a bit of foxing due to the two types of paper reacting with each other.
