Hardcover. Zustand: new. Hardcover. At dusk, small fire sparks drew a soft line on the azure-blue sky, and they were so close they seemed like fireflies. And the flames only sounded during the moments when they were blown by a strong wind, scattering sparks all around. These sparks then disappeared as if they were being drawn into the sky, which was deepening into a blue-black. Following these with my eyes, I pondered where the lights were going, The colour of the sky further deepened, and I strained my eyes carefully to the tiny sparks emerging. They were blown away, stirred up, and put out by the wind. - Murakoshi ToshiyaPublished by Libro Arte in collaboration with Spooky CoCoon Factory, Toshiya Murakoshi's sentimental documentation of his hometown Tokyo sees Murakoshi tracing the memory of his hometown through a collection of photographs of his parents house and the surrounding landscape. Hardcover. Zustand: new. Hardcover. Sceneries change depending on what you feel in the moment. Im trying to capture sceneries and views through such filters of emotion. These photos are different to those you would take if you were to leave your house with the intent of taking photographs.Sometimes, I become very sensitive to smell. Not smells that you sense with your nose but smells that you sense with your feelings. In those moments, I am drawn towards the smell of the city, the smell of people, the smell of life. Sometimes I traverse towns I dont know following only my sense of smell. You may not have a particular place to go to, but if you get over yourself and leave the house, youll find yourself finding things you never imagined. When my feelings align with the scenery unfolding in front of me and I happen to have a camera on me, Ill press the shutter button. (I almost always have a camera on me. )Does this filter of feelings really exist? Does it become visible in photographs? Or is it just my imagination? In the end, finding the answers to self-doubts like that becomes another motivation for me to keep taking photos.from the artists statement (translation by shashasha) Shipping may be from our Sydney, NSW warehouse or from our UK or US warehouse, depending on stock availability. …

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'I only became aware of the existence of life and death after connecting deeply to the world of water. This happened long before I started photography: by chance, I was invited to go diving, and when I saw that underwater world it captured me at once. The various phenomena and life forms which exist only in the water and the beautiful play of water and light brought me a strong sense of elation and excitement. In that world, it is difficult to walk as you would on the ground, and weather conditions can sometimes prevent you from entering it at all. Training and careful preparation are necessary. Above all, though, there is a limit to the number of breaths you can take. Among the many restrictions that exist in this world, this work focuses on 'BREATH,' the most essential factor. Breathing is indispensable to us; it repeats continually during our life, and we consider death to be the point at which breathing stops. Usually, breath is invisible, and I think it never registers in our consciousness. By separating ourselves from this phenomenon, which is so close to our own lives, we can consider its essence and value. This occurs in the water. When we are covered in water-a kind of death-the fear inside of us comes to the surface. Beyond this, the condition of not being able to breathe reveals our attachment to life. I capture this entirely unpredictable scene of struggle. I superimpose this highly restrictive scene onto human 'life. ' People encounter all kinds of troubles during their lives. Even if someone knocks down a barrier preventing them from doing something with their own hands, this will not change the fundamental essence of our own limitations. It is necessary to live together with such difficulty. Perhaps the essence of life, granted to everyone, is to live while struggling against death. Math or science can't change this. Life is not just about visible beauty, but also about true strength, which we have from birth. '.…
