The Blue Jays compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) East division. The team usually plays its home games at Rogers Centre, but due to border restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic had used TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Florida for April and May of the 2021 season, and Sahlen Field in Buffalo, New York for the 2020 season as well as June and July 2021, returning home to Toronto as of July 30. In 1892, at the height of his prodigious powers, Antonin Dvorak was persuaded to leave his native Bohemia to come to New York to be director of the National Conservatory for Music. In this exuberant novel, Josef Skvorecky tells the story of Dvorak¿s utterly requited love affair with young America, the anthem of which is his famous Symphony in E Minor, ¿From the New World.¿ Josef ¿kvorecký, CM (1924-2012) was a Czech-Canadian writer, editor, publisher and professor. Torrijos was never officially the president of Panama, but instead held titles including "Maximum Leader of the Panamanian Revolution" and "Supreme Chief of Government." Although he was considered a leftist autocrat, he simultaneously had the support of the United States as he opposed communism. His politics were based instead on progressivism. Torrijos is best known for negotiating the 1977 Torrijos Carter Treaties that eventually gave Panama full sovereignty over the Panama Canal, at noon on December 31, 1999.
