The purpose of our work was the research of hormones of gonadal, hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (HPA), thyroid axes in blood and monoamine contents in frontal cortex, hippocampus, cerebellum of rat males with dominant, submissive and balanced types of behavior. The dependence of male behavior type on testosterone level was revealed. Hyperactivity of HPA system was found in submissive animals.The presence of tight negative correlation between testosterone level and HPA axis hormones was shown in males independently of age and behavior type. The decrease of serotonin (5-HT) content in all investigated brain regions in submissive males, increased noradrenaline (NA) level in submissive males and decreased NA level in dominant ones were observed. The significant increase of both NA/5-HT and NA/DA was observed in submissive rats. It is equipped with automatic analyzers for particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), oxides of nitrogen (NO, NO2 and NOx) and ozone (O3), as well as for necessary meteorological parameters. The air pollution measurements at UPC site for the period 2012-2013 are presented in the present book in comparison to the limit values and available corresponding data of other Hellenic and European Mediterranean sites of approximately same latitudes. It is concluded that UPC site is convenient for monitoring secondary air pollution, while primary air pollution is not a matter. Comparisons reveal that UPC resembles suburban and rural sites. With this aim, the research was completed with a screening model. The research was completed with PET (Physical Education Teachers) working at state and private secondary schools linked to the Ministry of National Education in Istanbul during the school year 2012-2013. The study group for the research comprised 296 PET working at these schools who volunteered. The research group was formed of 36.8% women (n = 109) and 63.2% men (n = 187) PET. To measure the personality traits of participants in the research a 25-item PERI (Personality Inventory) personality scale was used. The scale was administered to teachers using a face-to-face technique with the researcher. MP samples were enriched with n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) using different concentrations of ¿-linolenic acid (ALA) (22.5, 30, and 45 g/kg) and n-3 docosahexaeonic acid (DHA)/eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) (5, 6.25, 7.25, and 10 g/kg) to improve product nutritional quality. ALA was much more chemically stable than DHA and EPA. MP with added ALA at 30 and 45 g/kg and with added DHA/EPA at 5, 6.25 and 7.25 g/kg is considered a source of flaxseed and fish oils n-3 FA, respectively, whereas samples enriched with DHA/EPA at 10 g/kg may claim high fish oil n-3 FA content according to European Regulation.
