In den Warenkorb2pp, folio, on both sides of the first leaf of a bifolium of wove paper watermarked 'JOHN WISE / 1804', the second leaf being blank. (The watermark and handwriting would imply that the copy is a contemporary one, made for a British governmental department, begging the question how access had been gained to the original.) Forty-n…ine lines of text. Stamp of the celebrated 'Bibliotheca Lindesiana' of the Earl of Crawford at bottom-right of recto, with manuscript accession number beneath: '3745'. In fair condition, lightly aged, but with thin band of wear and creasing at the head, with 1cm closed tear at head of central vertical fold. The word 'Copie' is written at top-left of the recto, which is headed 'Paris 24 Février 1806' and addressed to 'S. A. Mo. le Mal. Berthier / Mter. de la Guerre'. Accompanied by a neatly typed three-page transcription, on three leaves stapled together with edge strips reinforced with white cloth and two punch holes. The transcript is headed: 'TALLEYRAND. Ch. Mau. / 24.2.06. / Copy, Despatch 2 pp. fol.', with the following in pencil: 'Enclos II. in Talleyrand 25. 2. 06.' Begins: 'Ca Majesté me charge, Monsieur le Maréchal, de vous faire connaitre ses intentions relativement à l'évacuation par les troupes françaises d'Allemagne en Général et de la Place de Braunau en particulier. / S. M. veut faire avec la Cour de Vienne une convention par laquelle cette cour accorde l'usage d'une route militaire a travers ses possessions pour aller par terre depuis Palmanova jusqu'en Dalmatie.'
