Ogden fished with his father in Derbyshire, later coming south to Cheltenham where he perfected a practical method of dry-fly fishing. In this trail-blazing book he proposes the separation between any-method fishing and fly fishing. Most of the plates in Grant's account are after photographs taken by Charles Horetzky. Completed in 1885, the Canadian Pacific Railway played a crucial role in the development of the nation.
