Hardcover. Zustand: Good. John Watson was an eighteenth-century Church of England clergyman and antiquary. Between 1750 and 1754, he served as rector of the parish of Halifax in West Yorkshire. He wrote this history of the town, which was published in 1775. This is the 1973 facsimile edition, with red cloth boards. It is in good condition, with only very light shelf wear. The previous owner has put a sticker on the front pastedown. This book will be sent via courier due to its weight.
