This book is hard-bound in tan paper covered boards, with gilt stamping to the upper cover, with a gilt stamped white cloth spine, in a dust jacket with light toning ot the edges. The covers show edge-wear and rubbing to the corners and spine-ends. There is a bit of red staining to the tail of the spine. There is a scuff to the top of the front free end-page. The binding is solid. The contents are bright and generally clean, with color illustrations, but also with a small amount of soiling to the top, outer corner of the first few pages. This book is signed by the author Nancy Willard and signed/inscribed by the illustrator Barry Moser on the title-page. From the collection of Cuthbert Christian Thambimuttu (1945-2019) of Columbus, Ohio - known to many of his bookseller, author, and illustrator friends as "Tubby." He was persistent in the pursuit of autographed books by the writers and artists he admired, including Gorey, Sendak, Heaney, Byatt, Morrison, Updike and many more.
