Neuware -Document from the year 2021 in the subject Theology - Practical Theology, Namibia Evangelical Theological Seminary, language: English, abstract: Like in most parts of Namibia, Christianity plays a major role in the Rehoboth community. The goal of Christian ethics in any community is to glorify God. Many people in Rehoboth would agree with that statement, in principle. However, as Heinz Mouton¿s research shows, Pentecostal and mainline Protestant preachers in Rehoboth offer little-to-no ethical application of key passages, such as Jesus¿ Sermon on the Mount. Mouton argues that this, in part, explains why the lifestyles of many Rehoboth Christians differ significantly from the ethical values of God¿s Kingdom recorded in the New Testament. His plea to the Rehoboth church, therefore, is for stronger teaching and preaching that emphasises the ethics of Christ¿s Kingdom, and how they touch all aspects of human relationships: from the workplace, to the neighbourhood, to the family home.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 72 pp. Englisch.

Therefore, the GDR film institution DEFA was one of the first establishments which mainly published films shortly after 1945 to memorize the Second World War and the cruelties of the Nazis. But how important was the role of the memory of World War II for the GDR regime in reality And would the GDR regime also try to use propaganda in films of such a sensible and important matter Would it also try to spread its ideology within these movies And if, how were ideological means implied in the movies respectively how did film makers conceptualize, frame and display their versions of World War II and its meanings To answer these questions the paper starts by giving an overview of the importance of the memory of World War II and the Nazi Past in GDR policy. After that, this policy should be further analyzed with the help of nine movies of GDR film makers and their contribution to the memory of World War II and the Nazi Past in East Germany. In addition, it is also aimed at discussing the linkage between communication and semiotics and is expected to generate positive contributions in underlining the significance of semiotic theory and further researches in related fields or specific areas. Ritwik Kumar Ghatak, the maverick Bengali filmmaker remains one of the most celebrated cinematic auteurs of Indian cinema. Dismantling the conventional constructs of commercial cinema, Ghatak along with Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen laid the foundation of the ¿alternative¿ or ¿parallel¿ cinema in Bengal during the 60s and 70s. Furthermore the author explains the trade agreement Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and its impacts as well as solutions.ECOWAS was formed on May 28, 1975 to promote economic integration in West Africa. The realization of this economic integration agenda was largely due to Nigeriäs regional leadership in West Africa. However, Nigeriäs attempts were met with stiff opposition from the Francophone bloc led by Cote d¿Ivoire with support from France in the 1970s. Though often blown out of proportion, there has historically been a raging antagonism between the Anglophone and Francophone blocs in West Africa. On its part, fearing Nigeriäs domination in any West African integration scheme, France supported Cote d¿Ivoire¿s hostility towards Nigeria. In a February-March 1971 tour in most of the former French colonies, President Pompidou warned against Nigeriäs domination and urged them to harmonize their efforts to counter balance the heavy weight of Nigeria. The result was the formation of West African Economic Community¿s (CEAO) in 1973. In the words of Engel and Jouanjean (2015), France perceived Nigeria as a major threat to its chasse gardée, French West Africa, as it made use of Cote d¿Ivoire¿s economic might and Senegal¿s cultural heritage. 20 pp. Englisch.

To achieve this aim, it is important to acknowledge that bullying is understood differently among different groups of people especially among students. For instance, what one person may consider to be bullying could be considered as normal behaviour by another person. Due to this, it is important to gather data from a wide range of sources and large samples to understand the extent of impact of bullying on girl students. Meanwhile, the study shall also examine the social interaction patterns which are affected by bullying in secondary schools. Hence, the researcher intends to explore the perception of bullying among girls in secondary schools and to assess how bullying affects girls in secondary schools physically, mentally, and socially. In general, the researcher¿s primary goal was to answer the question which impact bullying has on girls in secondary schools Bullying and harassment are common issues in many secondary schools in the United Kingdom. In fact, for many years, bullying was viewed as a common feature in schools and was overlooked as a threat to students. In some societies, it was believed that bullying is one of the developmental stages that young people must get over. However, a considerable number of people often fails to get over the personal trauma that results from bullying. 16 pp. Englisch.

The article also traced the basis for the shift from ¿embedded liberalism' to the emergence of ¿neoliberalism'. In order for the government to intervene in economic policies matters; democracy was the driving force for the spread of embedded liberalism. Macroeconomics was introduced by the government of advanced economies to address three critical areas of the economic policies, namely: inflation, market output, and unemployment. The other aspect of this period was to win the cold war and to empower the United States as the global hegemon. The departure from embedded liberalism to neoliberalism in 1971 was due to domestic economic pressure of the US. President Nixon¿s administration ended the ¿convertibility of the dollar into gold' policy regime. The government had to float the dollar in the international market allowing market forces to determine the value of the dollar currency. The administration of Reagan and Thatcher institutionalised ¿neoliberalism' as an alternative to ¿embedded liberalism'. The adoption of ¿neoliberalism' led both administrations to implement monetary policies which led to stripping labour from further threatening the economies of the United States and the United Kingdom with inflation. The overall implications were increased profits for capitalists or entrepreneurs as against employees of the labour market. The analysis revealed that there was an increased unemployment rate due to high-interest rates and deliberate policies to encourage recession in order to forestall inflation.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 16 pp. Englisch.

Syria is choosen firsty, because many scholars and writers actually claim that Syria is already a secularist country which is a highly controversial and debatable claim. Secondly, because the (political) Islam in Syria does not have the same power it has in other Muslim Arabic countries and this makes Syria a somehow good candidate for becoming a secularist country. This paper contains four main chapters and it is structured as follows: After the introduction, in the first chapter secularism and secularization is briefly defined and then it will explained why the religion Islam and the (political) Islam cannot be separated. In the second chapter it is presented the point of view which says that Islam is deep inside incompatible with secularism. On the contrary side, namely in the third chapter, it is presented the other point of view which claims that Islam can very well come along with secularism. The fourth chapter will be the conclusion. Furthermore, a connection with Syria based on the content of the chapters will be made at the end of the first and the last chapter.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 20 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2013 in the subject Theology - Hinduism, grade: 2,1, University of Hildesheim, language: English, abstract: The following paper will deal with the concept of the cycle of birth, death and rebirth in the Hindu religion, as Hindus, in contrary to the Western cultures and monotheistic religions, believe that there is life after death, and before the present life, there was a beforelife because they believe that it does not make sense that people suddenly appear from nowhere, meaning not the biological body, but the ¿soul¿ or the ¿spirit¿.First, a definition of the different concepts of afterlife in different metaphysical models and of the term reincarnation from its semantic point of view and, how it is defined in other religions, will be given. Furthermore, Hinduism, itself, will be introduced, as it is important to understand the essence of this religion to be able to understand the concept of reincarnation. Additionally, the concept of reincarnation will be described. That includes the processes of birth, death and rebirth. Finally, the arguments in favor and against the theory of reincarnation will be discussed. The question, about what happens after death, is a philosophical one, which has been worrying humanity for centuries. By trying to categorize the different concepts, regarding what happens after death, three concepts, varying among cultures and religions, can be differentiated.First, there is the concept of denial which states that the existence of the individual ends with their death, as it is widely believed in the Western world. The second one is the concept of completion - in many religions, as, for example, in Christianity, the human life is seen as a preparation for a life after, somewhere else, in a different state of existence, like Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, Limbus, etc.And the third concept is the concept of rebirth, meaning that the mental part of the person, may it be called the ¿soul¿ or the ¿spirit¿, is reborn many times in new bodies on earth. 20 pp. Englisch.

It outlines the problems that arise from each interpretation of the play, but also discusses how and why scholars came to those interpretations. The derived conclusion from placing these two interpretations in conversation with each other is that Sobol may have been trying to both give an historical recount of the horrors experienced in the Jewish Ghettos set up by the Nazis, and giving subtle critique on how the Israeli government is treating its Palestinian neighbours. While this essay does not aim to provide definitive conclusions as to what Sobol's motives were behind the writing of 'Ghetto', it certainly opens up discussions on how historical contexts can affect the way in which the message of a play or performance is perceived and interpreted.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 20 pp. Englisch.

I will argue that this movie not only criticizes the Korean War and the Cold War in general, but I will also showcase how societal anxieties of an escalation, for example in the form of a nuclear strike, are processed. I will argue that the idealism of Cold War liberalism, which stands in stark contrast to communism, is shown in this movie and that it shapes the way masculinity is portrayed and favored. In this way, the movie can be analyzed as a mirror both of societal processes and anxieties, and perceptions of ideal masculinity of the American culture in the 1950s. 16 pp. Englisch.

A key distinction is made between fears, a lack of trust, and insecurities. It seems that a lack of self-trust arises both due to insecurities and fear, that both get provoked from deleterious cognitive patterns, negative or lack of life experience, or -knowledge. The paper provides arguments and evidence to support the view that jealousy involves a lack of (self-)trust because jealousy is an evaluative feeling and an episodically occurring state assigned to a specific source (cause) and reflects inner experiences. Furthermore, it is argued that an adjusted self tends more to feel jealous than an unadjusted self. 16 pp. Englisch.

It hoped that this paper will drives legislative arms of government to be more top public institution that can have proper checks and balances on the executive rather than bureaucratic non delivery system. The stated aim of government all over is to achieve or accomplish good governance. By good governance, we imply the delivery goods and services to the people. Cornpared to the experience of other of government (military regimes, for instance) goods and services are better delivered under a democratic dispensation in which checks and balances between the different arms of government are ensured. This is because in a democratic government leaders are representative of the people, elected on a periodic basis, they try to ensure that the real benefits of democracy (both material and moral) are readily and consistently accrual to the citizenry. In most states of the Nigerian federation, it is evident that the processes of socio-economic development have been better enhanced under a democratic dispensation. As technology¿s efficiencies and its effectiveness had been sensed by both customer and firm, this resulting in a competitive business model among particular service industries; Supermarket businesses. Therefore, the need for a tech-based yet fruitful innovation has become increasingly relevant towards grocery businesses. However, during past decades, numbers of researchers and business experts¿ have narrowed their focus to a term called self-service technology (SST). This cutting-edge advancement enhances firm¿s performances in productivity and profitability spectrums (Parasuraman, 1996). Next, Meuter et al. On the business viewpoint, cost reductions and improved efficiency are the major highlights of having a SST system. Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2020 in the subject Engineering - Industrial Engineering and Management, grade: 1,3, University of Applied Sciences Georg Agricola Bochum (Wissenschaftsbereich Elektro-/Informationstechnik und Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen), course: Simulation Game, language: English, abstract: This thesis deals with the necessary of using management tools within a business game. In the first descriptive part, it critically examines the common management tools mentioned in the literature. It is limited to the treatment of three tools: The Ansoff Matrix according to Harry Igor Ansoff, Porters Five Forces (industry structure analysis) and the Business Model Canvas according to Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur. In the following analysis, the work applies these tools practically to the fantasy company, ¿Xeltronics 1¿. What does strategic management deal with In the Anglo-American literature, management is used in two variants of meaning. On the one hand, management in the functional sense aims to describe the processes and functions, such as planning, organization, leadership and control, that are necessary in organizations based on the division of labor. Management in the institutional sense describes the people, who perform management tasks, their activities and their roles. There are the two main components of the strategy term are the time element and the reference object. According to their ethymological origin, the terms strategy and strategic are strongly associated with the term 'longer-term'. It is difficult to determine precisely when strategic management was established as an independent field of research. The year 1977 is mentioned as the 'year of birth', for example, when a conference was held at the University of Pittsburgh in the USA, whose contributions were presented in 1979 by Schendel and Hofer under the title 'Strategie Management. A New View of Business Policy and Planning'. Behind the term 'strategic management' is a management philosophy that expresses rethinking. Basically, the group is experiencing a similar phenomenon here as in the 1960s, when the term marketing also signalled the need to rethink after the original sellers' markets had turned into buyers' markets. Although there are many different ideas associated with the concept of strategic management, a common goal can be identified: Strategic management is able to control and guide the long-term evolution of the company. The role of the manager is important, but according to a study, almost 85% of the German population think that their salaries are high to high. 28 pp. Englisch.

It analyzes the gender-transformative potential of the Commission, examines the measures taken by the government to implement the Commission's recommendations on gender equality and analyzes the changes that have been achieved with regard to gender equality in Sierra Leone. While the trials of the Sierra Leone Special Court have led to a number of groundbreaking legal developments that have significantly impacted international gender justice the Court is believed to not have offered much potential for the transformation of gender relations due to 'the absence of a reparations mandate and the limited opportunities for victims to participate in proceedings' (Williams and Opdam 2017, 1286). Therefore, this analysis focuses on the TRC. It will begin with a brief account of the situation of women in pre-conflict Sierra Leone as well as during the conflict to make the case for the need for a transformation of gender relations. This will be followed by an analysis of the gender-transformative potential of the TRC and a subsequent examination of the measures taken by the government to implement the TRC¿s recommendations on gender equality. Subsequently, the changes that have been achieved with regard to gender equality in Sierra Leone will be examined. Finally, the position of women in contemporary Sierra Leone will be outlined, followed by a brief presentation of missed opportunities in the promotion of gender equality.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 40 pp. Englisch.

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2020 in the subject Leadership and Human Resources - Miscellaneous, grade: 2,0, Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, course: Effective English for Leadership, language: English, abstract: This paper will analyze what makes Steve Rogers as displayed in the movie ¿Captain America ¿ the first avenger¿ directed by Joe Johnson in 2011, a leader. This will be examined with current literature about various leadership styles. The author used the model of Bass & Avolio who described the transformational leadership style. After evaluating if Captain America is a transformational leader this paper will continue and analyses the character of the fictional person and determine why he used his abilities for protecting humanity from evil and not used it against it. For this, the paper refers to the BKD Model by Campbell (2004).The movie ¿Captain America: The First Avenger¿ is based on a comic book called ¿Captain America I¿ which was published in 1941. The book showed Captain America fighting Nazi Germany and predicted the participation of the United States at World War II. The authors claim that Captain America was created to enhance the patriotic spirit of young Americans during that time (Weiner, 2009). Before becoming Captain America, Steve Rogers was a thin, small and frail young man driven by the desire to enlist for the military and contribute his part in World War II. Despite several tries under different aliases the military refused to draft him due to his bad physical condition and numerous diseases. In his last attempted to enlist for the army, the scientist Dr. Abraham Erskine who was the leading scientist for the secret super soldier project, gave Rogers a chance to become a soldier. After attending a training camp, Erskine administered a serum to Rogers which transformed the little and frail young man into a muscular and tall super soldier. This was the birth of the character Captain America. (Johnston, 2011).Leadership is a very broad topic and it appears that back in the early 1970¿s every leadership writer had its own definition. Researchers recorded in 2008 on a Google search on leadership 168,000,000 results and by 2011 the amount increased to 418,000,000. Thus, it can be argued that the amount of definitions for leadership will multiply in the following years.
