The internal controls of information technology, information and communication, control activities, and monitoring contributed positively but had weak relationships. These distortions and weaknesses may lead to misapplication, misappropriation and embezzlement of school funds. Due to limited knowledge of the heads they delegated budget preparation to the accountants. It is recommended that auditing and monitoring is routinely conducted to ensure that financial regulations are followed to avoid embezzlement, corruption and misapplication of school funds.

Substantial research has been conducted to investigate the construct of motivation and to validate its impact on core business outcomes within varying environments. According to Rani and Lenka (2012), the motivational process affects an individual's strength and persistence of behaviour. Thus, motivated individuals are activated to behave in a more creative, productive and persistent way. Prevailing literature validates this positive effect. For example, Deci and Ryan (2008a) argue that there is a significant link between motivation and positive work-related outcomes, such as psychological well-being and work performance. Considering this convincing evidence, further research tried to investigate this relationship within varying settings. An area that has aroused major attention is the R&D environment. Within this context managers face several obstacles in establishing high levels of motivation. Clarke (2002) mentions, for example, the differing values and expectations of R&D specialists, the uncertainty of outcomes and the difficulty in measuring the results. For high levels of motivation and performance to occur, managers need to respond to the needs of the R&D professionals without losing sight of the company's major objectives. Based on the work of Deci, Vallerand, Pelletier and Ryan (1991) and their distinction between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, studies in the R&D management literature validate the importance of both motivational constructs within this context. However, in practice, organizations like BMW may be incentivized to primarily focus on extrinsic rewards. Extrinsic incentive systems, such as salary increases or bonuses, can easily be established, fairly measured and provide a clear link between the employees' monetary motives and the organizations objectives. Further, intrinsic motivation may be neglected due to difficulties and increased efforts of implementing such incentives. As a result of this neglect of their workers' intrinsic needs and desires, the motivation within the R&D department and in turn the work performance may decline.

A secondary data set of longitudinally studied adolescents and their mothers was used. The study used interview and interaction measures as well as information from the state¿s protective services. HH states-of-mind levels in late adolescence have been repeatedly linked to higher severity of abuse in childhood, and to higher levels of adolescent punitive behaviour. To our knowledge, whether the link between severity of childhood abuse and adolescent HH states-of-mind is mediated by punitive behaviour has not yet been explored. Due to gender likely having an effect on the link, the present study aims to investigate whether the link between severity of childhood abuse and HH states-of-mind via punitive behaviour differs depending on gender, so that the effect is significant for females, but not males. HH states-of-mind are a form of an adolescent¿s or adult¿s current representations of childhood attachment experiences. 'Attachment' describes the bond between an infant and their primary caregiver, and plays an important role in an individual¿s functioning from cradle to grave. Infants are predisposed to seek closeness to their attachment figures ¿ usually their predominant caregiver ¿ to increase their chances of survival. In this infant-caregiver relationship, the infant forms a sense of self, and whether they can trust, and rely on their caregiver. A caregiver¿s display of frightening or frightened behaviour, or other forms of disrupted affective communication towards the infant, prevents the functional purposes of the attachment system: establishing proximity to the caregiver and reducing fear in stressful situations. Such behaviour can form a disorganized attachment relationship between the caregiver and their child, where the child externalizes their disorganized attachment by showing contradictory approach-avoidance behaviours towards their caregiver. Furthermore, disorganized attachment experiences can have a negative impact on the development of autonomy, and individual identity in adolescence. Thus, they can have adverse influences on the adolescent¿s transition into adulthood as well as leading the development of HH states-of-mind.

In our work, we conduct qualitative interviews with stakeholders and senior executives from some of the most important brands in luxury. We find that CSR and luxury are compatible and that CSR contributes to BV within luxury. We also identify how CSR is and could be positioned to maximize BV. Our findings not only contribute to the literature on BV, CSR and luxury, but highlight the strategic importance that CSR has for BV in luxury and make a case for the industry to embrace it. Our findings are especially relevant now that the industry is facing significant financial pressures as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which make it essential for luxury brands to look into ways to increase their BV. Within luxury, the most valuable asset is brand value (BV). Non-luxury research has identified Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as one of the factors influencing BV. Luxury has not been typically associated with sustainability, but due to recent pressure from consumers and stakeholders many luxury brands are working toward implementing CSR initiatives.

Sensor networks interact and collect sensitive data and operate in unattended hostile environments, thus it is imperative to pay attention to the security of wireless sensor networks as they are highly prone to threats. For successful operation of the nodes, it is important to maintain the security and privacy of the transmitted data as well as the data stored at nodes. The different security protocols and models used in the wired and other wireless networks such as ad-hoc networks cannot be used in WSNs because the sensor size poses significant restrictions, mainly in terms of energy autonomy and node lifetime, as the batteries have to be too tiny. Also, the existing security protocols in these constrained networks are not sufficiently energy efficient, which is the real motivation behind this work. In this thesis, a light-weight dynamic security algorithm titled 'An Energy Efficient and Dynamic Security Protocol (EEDSP)' for wireless sensor networks has been proposed and implemented at nodal level. We also implement an existing algorithm and then carry out the performance analysis of both the algorithms in terms of energy consumptions, node lifetime and memory requirements at source and intermediate nodes to verify the improvement in our protocol's results.

Hence, it is proposed to use a novel method in which both keyspace and encryption are increased.Discrete cosine transforms (DCT) of the image are encrypted using a generalized logistic equation. Due to this idea, both compression and encryption are done simultaneously. Before applying DCT, the image is shuffled using Arnold Cat Map. The proposed compression and encryption method is validated using several chaotic metrics such as; Bifurcation diagram, Mutual information, Kolmogorov Sinai Entropy density, Kolmogorov Sinai Entropy generality, Space-Amplitude diagram, Space-Time diagram. Intruders are discouraged through the improved metrics such as NPCR (Number of Pixels changing rate), UACI (Unified Averaged changed intensity), and mutual information among the lattices used as the key. In the same way, image reconstruction quality is improved and verified through the metrics such as PSNR (Peak Signal to noise ratio) and FOM (Figure of Merit). Compression performance is evaluated through the metric CR (Compression ratio). The performance is evaluated for both gray and color image databases under a noisy channel environment.

It has specif…ically been looked into the relationship between the restriction of Saarländisch in the classroom and students experiencing language anxiety in the context of a primary school located in a rural area in the German federal state Saarland. In this area, the language variety Saarländisch is commonly not accepted within the classroom. This thesis comprises an empirical study which has been analysed in a mix-method using both qualitative and quantitative data. The sample group consisted of 20 students in grade 4 who have been picked after answering a background questionnaire and who were then given the main questionnaire related to how Saarländisch is viewed in the classroom, the restriction of Saarländisch in school and language anxiety. Furthermore, the two teachers who teach the aforementioned students have been questioned in interviews. It has been investigated that Saarländisch is seen as inferior to Standard German both in general and within the classroom. Even though, the restriction of Saarländisch in the classroom and students¿ language anxiety have been found to not have a statistically significant correlation with each other, some qualitatively and quantitatively obtained data indicated a relation between the two variables. Therefore, the definition of language anxiety should be rethought and extended referring to learning and/or using different language varieties rather than only referring to the anxiety that appears when learning and/or using a second/foreign language.

This impartial assumption makes the topic assessable by macro- and microeconomic tools and models. Furthermore, this approach allows analyzing the subject from a pirate's perspective. From this opposite viewpoint, an economic assessment facilitates the identification of framework-factors, which have been responsible for the emergence and development of piracy in general. In a next step, the application of business models helps to reveal further relevant factors, which trigger the internal procedures of the piracy companies, running a business in the hotspots of South-East Asia, West Africa, and East Africa. These deduced elements will then be illustrated in an explorative qualitative cause and effect model, to visualize their interrelation and the corresponding processes between them, which ultimately lead to the feasibility-assessment of piracy businesses.These visualized business models can be used as templates for further research objectives and enable academics to take the perspective of criminal entrepreneurs, to reveal new insights and weak-spots of illegal business models in general. These findings could be used to tighten effective counter-measures, which may not have been considered up to now. Metaphorically speaking, this dissertation aims at revealing the concealed treasure-map, which contains the 'secret' core factors and processes determining the feasibility of the criminal business and thereby the ultimate rationale of the emergence of professional piracy per se.

Pour ce faire, nos instruments de collectes des données ont été le questionnaire et la recherche documentaire. Il découle de cette étude que les effets sociaux, environnementaux et économiques de la modernisation du marché de Ngoulemakong sont globalement positifs, surtout en ce qui concerne les effets économiques qui ont permis l'accroissement des revenus des producteurs et des commerçants et l'augmentation des recettes financières communales.

Zum anderen werden das schon hohe Ausgabenniveau im Segment medizinische Geräte, das niedrige BIP-Wachstum und das geringe Bevölkerungswachstum als Gründe herangezogen. Ein zweiter Grund, der für den Wandel steht, ist die niedrige staatliche Finanzierung der Krankenhäuser, so dass bestehende Geräte primär instand gehalten und keine Investitionen in neue Geräte betätigt werden.

Folgend kann überprüft werden, ob und inwieweit die Abduktion und das Implizite Wissen im Zusammenhang stehen. Das Ergebnis dieser Analyse wird am Ende in Form eins Fazits konkludiert.In der Erkenntnistheorie war lange Zeit die Induktion nach Hume (1740) vorherrschend für die Erklärung unseres menschlichen Verstandes. Hume führte an, dass wir aufgrund von Gedankenverbindungen, wie Ähnlichkeit von Sachverhalten, Berührung in Raum und Zeit, sowie Ursache und Wirkung, Erkenntnis erlangen. Hierbei zieht man den Schluss vom Besonderen auf das Allgemeine. Zum Beispiel sieht X einen Schwan und der ist weiß, also schließt X auf die Erkenntnis, dass alle Schwäne weiß sind. 1998 führte Popper eine neue, empirische Theorie ein. Sie stellt den direkten Divergenten zur metaphysischen Induktion dar. Die Deduktion zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass nach einer Falsifikation der Hypothese (z.B. s.o. alle Schwäne sind weiß), man diese eingrenzt und durch dieses Abgrenzungskriterium die Hypothese verifiziert. Später entdeckte Peirce die dritte Möglichkeit des syllogistischen Schließens. Die Abduktion hebt sich von der Induktion und Deduktion ab, indem sie eine Hypothese entwickelt, die eine synthetische Erkenntnis mit sich führt. Für die weiterführende Untersuchung wird sich auf die letzte Form der Erkenntnis fokussiert. Dieses erfolgt unter der Einbeziehung des Impliziten Wissens nach Polanyi. Er charakterisiert dieses, als ein Wissen, dass wir nicht mitzuteilen wissen.Auf den ersten Blick erscheint das Implizite Wissen und eine Schlussform, welche eine neue Erkenntnis liefert, unabhängig voneinander. Aber beide stehen, wenn es um die Erkenntnis geht, in einer unmittelbaren Verbindung. Die erste Gemeinsamkeit wäre die Paradoxien in beiden Theorien. Wie können wir ein Wissen, dass wir nicht mitzuteilen wissen, für die Erkenntnis nutzen Und wie können wir den bestmöglichen Schluss ziehen, unter der Vorrausetzung alle anderen Möglichkeiten abzuwägen Man müsse also bereits intuitiv die bestmögliche Lösung kennen.
