Forty thousand civilians [many of them children] have been injured or killed.Also, due to insufficient medical facilities, there are victims of pediatric diseases which are obsolete in Japan and most Western countries. Friends Without A Border is building the Angkor Clinic for Children to provide much needed free aid to these injured and sick children." Izu raises money for the Angkor clinic through the sale of his photographs of the ancient Angkor monument, "which has profoundly touched his heart.".
