Unzählige Artikel in medizinischen Zeitschriften legen hiervon ein beredtes Zeugnis ab. Dieser ungemein erfolgreiche Weg ist dann leider mit der Entwicklung neuerer Medikamente, die aber bei weitem nicht an die Qualität des pflanzlichen und nicht patentierbaren Strophanthins heranreichen, mehr und mehr verlassen worden.Etliche tausend Ärzte haben aber auch mit oraler Gabe insbesondere in der Vorbeugung und Akutbehandlung von Angina pectoris und Herzinfarkt eine überragende Wirkung ohne ernsthafte Nebenwirkungen erzielt. Dies gilt natürlich auch für die heute wieder zahlreicher werdenden Ärzte, die Strophanthin anwenden. In der Regel wird ein Herzanfall innerhalb von 5-10 Minuten vollends gestoppt, und die Anzahl der Infarkte sinkt auf extrem niedrige Werte.
