The Limited Leather "Fine Deluxe Edition" First Impressions Series titles of 1992 used a square, quarter leather bound binding. This copy has been expertly bound with a Rounded Spine / Perfectly Concave Fore Edge, with Additional Gold Gilt Rule to Boards (see scans), the same binding style was eventually utilized for the later Limited Edition Bindings of the Austin Osman Spare "From The Inferno To Zos" trilogy (1993/95). One of 50, Hand Numbered copies. Quarter Leather, Buckram Boards with Silk Tie Page Marker. All Edges Gilt, Marbled Endpapers. An evidently Unread copy with binding extremely tight, page marker seemingly unmoved since the day it was bound. A facsimile of A.C.'s proof copy held in the Yorke Collection at the Warburg. This is the First volume in the First Impressions Series, and one of the most desirable due to the copious, extensive notes in the Old Crow's hand, as well as the inimitable Crowley penned ownership statements accusing Norman Mudd of thievery two times, once to the fly, and again to the title page.
