Häftad i omslag tryckta i svart och guld. Fint exemplar. Stockholm, Stockholms stadsmuseum (tr. hos P. A. Nostedt & Söner), 1969. 22,2 x 23 cm. 36 sid. inkl. - - - A little book devoted to Josabeth Sjöberg (1812-1882), a Swedish (amateur) painter and music teacher. After her death, her paintings passed to the family of a friend, apparently per her will. By the 1930s they had become dispersed, but in 1936 the Stockholm City Museum acquired 57 of the 59 known watercolours, which have since been displayed several times in art exhibitions, including the 700-year jubilee of the city of Stockholm. Despite the technical naivete of her works, they have been widely used to illustrate books and articles on the culture of 19th century Stockholm.…
