Zustand: Hervorragend | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | This is a short textbook on an alternative technique for stringing and tuning a guitar to get a very bright, treble-y sound that can be used to create some very unusual effects. It may at least interest some of the people who've asked me questions about Nashville stringing/tuning when I've used it in performance. It includes information on more-or-less related tunings, and the factors that need to be taken into account when considering setting up an electric or acoustic Nashville-strung guitar. It also includes links to a number of sample sound files illustrating the technique and ways in which it can be used to emulate other instruments.

Zustand: Hervorragend | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | Born at the beginning of the Baby Boomer era (mid 1940s) in the Midwest, David's life was shaped by traditional small-town values by loving parents and family members. Although times were tough and family means were limited, David was taught that he could achieve anything in life that he chose provided he was willing to work hard and treat people honestly and respectfully. Despite facing and overcoming many hurdles that might deter others, David was able to achieve everything he could dream of. The harder he worked, the luckier he seemed to become. During his lifetime, he has experienced personal tragedies and near-death situations where his Guardian Angels or other unexplained spiritual and sometimes spooky circumstances intervened to alter his life at critical times. His journey from near poverty to a position of success and financial security is a testament to self-belief and drive to accomplish his version of the American Dream. You may recognize many of the events and personalities that David encountered, learned from, and sometimes influenced in his life journey. His parents, Grace and George instilled in him the values and beliefs that served as the foundation for his actions and accomplishments. David believes he has made his parents proud. Come along and share his memories!

Zustand: Hervorragend | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | In the early 80s I contributed much of the songs and music (and some other bits and pieces) to a revue called Nice, if you can get it directed by Maggie Ford, which was centred on the world of work. Some of that material appeared more recently on the album Hands of the Craftsman. That album formed the basis of this book: however, it includes much supplementary material. This includes not only historical and anecdotal material, but material that wasn't included in the revue, and other material that wasn't originally intended for the revue, but fits the topic. Some of this material has never been published previously in any form.
