Carr. He wanted to champion 20th Century Wood Engravers, whose work he thought had been overlooked. His first was on Thomas Bewick, which included extracts of his autobiography. Others are simply visual. They are great little publications and the perfect tiny gift for a wood engraving enthusiast. A further 4 were published by R. D. and J. M. Carr who continued the series. Joy Claire Allison Dalby (born 20 November 1944) is a British painter, engraver and book illustrator who mainly depicts botanical subjects through watercolour, gouache and wood.
