Book: a discreet ex-library copy, the only markings being a slight abrasion at foot of spine, 3" X 6" wrinkled patch at center of front flyleaf from bookplate removal and small abrasion near foot of title page. The portfolio and print are pristine. Handsome copy of this hand-set letterpress volume featuring striking original screen images by Ronald King. The laid-in portfolio is titled "Knight" and is the first in the portfolio series. Inside front wrapper features a poem by Roy Fisher titled "Knight," which the included screen print illustrates. (Print is likewise numbered "I" in pencil and is initialed in pencil by illustrator Ronald King.) Though mildly ex-library, quite attractive and desireable copy of the first volume of this 20 volume set, each limited to 250 numbered copies (this #115) initialed in pencil by Ronald King. Second of this edition.

A wonderful edition with original full page color screen images designed by King. Laid in at rear, within a gray paper portfolio is an original color print (1 of 20 examples of print number XVIII, The Manciple) signed and initialed by Ronald King. Gift bookplate of the Seminary Library of Dayton, Ohio on front pastedown, but without any other library markings.

A series of 7 double-sided blind-embossed images of goats printed on wire by Ronald King with text printed letter-press in 14 pt Baskerville on Indian hand-made paper. 12 pp., in the original wine coloured printed wrappers. One of the 8 commissioned poetry books of the Circle Press 'London Series' made to commemorate the move of the Circle Press from Guildford to Notting Hill in London. Roy Fisher who provided the poetry for this book, chose the poets for all the others in the series. Artists were chosen for most of these book, this being the only Ron King illustrated himself, although he printed the whole series.

Original wraps. Zustand: Near Fine. Ian Tyson (illustrator). #37 of only 125 copies issued of this 1968 1st edition. SIGNED BY BOTH THE POET JEROME ROTHENBERG AND THE ARTIST IAN TYSON at the limitation and published out of London by Circle Press Publications. A near-pristine copy to boot. Tight and Near Fine in its orange wrappers, with just a touch of very light foxing at the preliminaries. Oblong folio, the 10 screenprints as called for by Ian Tyson are all in immaculate condition. Accompanying the book is the publisher's matching orange cloth chemise (in Near Fine condition) and the dark cloth slipcase, which is very sturdy but shows just a bit of wear and scuffing. Signed.
