Embossed black cloth titled in gilt, corners bumped some abrasions and spine slightly split. Final image is an actual cut out silhouette. New York: Charles Beck…er, 1863. This album contains albumin silhouettes printed in carte-de-visite format, showing the beautiful, intricate psaligraphy (paper-cutting) work of George Schmidt, including a self-portrait of the artist at work, scenes of farms, plants and animals. This is a wonderful example of his work.
