The manuscript contains a rich collection of world maps produced by an anonymous but strikingly original cartographer. These include one of the earliest programs of thematic maps, and a remarkable series of maps that illustrate the transformations that the world was supposed to undergo during the Apocalypse. The authors supply detailed discussion of the maps and transcriptions and translations of the Latin texts that explain the maps. Copies of the maps in a fifteenth-century manuscript in Wolfenbüttel prove that this unusual work did circulate. The present monograph will point to various sources of legal uncertainty which international criminal courts have generated in the limitation process of those human rights relevant to international criminal proceedings and to the definition of international crimes. Ben Sira characterized Ezekiel as the prophet who saw the appearance of the glory of God. This characterization is not based on the number of occurrences of kabôd in Ezekiel. The peculiarity of Ezekiel is that kabôd is used almost exclusively as a hypostasis of YHWH. Ezekiel's description of the kabôd of YHWH is more elaborate than any other Old Testament writer's, and it highlights the dual and paradoxical nature of the divine kabôd as both defying verbal description and being potentially visible.
